Let CH2M HILL help you INVEST in sustainable infrastructure
February 06, 2013

Working as the consultant of choice for the Federal Highways Administration (FHWA), CH2M HILL developed the content for
INVEST, which is a practical, web-based collection of best practices that allows states to integrate sustainability into their transportation projects and programs.
With the tool launched, the FHWA is looking for projects and programs interested in being deployment sites. CH2M HILL’s unique knowledge of INVEST may enable us to help you submit a competitive application that will benefit your organization and the FHWA.
Funding
Multiple awards of approximately $25,000 to $150,000 are anticipated, though projects may be larger or smaller, depending on the context, scope, and approach. By federal statute, a 100 percent non-federal match (50–50 cost share) is required. In-kind contributions such as staffing can be counted toward the match requirement.
Timeline
Letters of interest will be received and funding allocated on a rolling basis and as funding is available. The FHWA is targeting the month of March to fund several projects; letters of interest received by February 15 will be considered for the round of funding targeted for March. However, letters of interest are welcome after that date as well. There is not a set timeframe for project completion. Some projects may have quick turn-around schedules, with timelines as short as 1 month, while others may take 18–24 months because of the stage of the plan update cycle or the project development process.
