Elisa M. Speranza
Elisa M. Speranza is President of CH2M HILL’s Operations Management Business Group and also the Executive Sponsor for Sustainability. She is responsible for establishing and achieving the group’s vision, market strategy and performance objectives, and participates in the Enterprise Operations Committee and Board Strategic Planning Group. The Operations Management Business Group partners with companies and communities to deliver a complete range of custom-tailored operations, maintenance and facilities management services. The Group’s “E3 Mission” is to enhance the environment and quality of life, empower people, and exceed customer expectations.
Ms. Speranza’s experience includes working on both the public and private sides of the water, wastewater and municipal management business. Prior to her current position, she spent seven years with CH2M HILL's Water Business Group, serving in a number of leadership roles. Most recently, she led the group's Utility Management Solutions (management consulting) team. Prior to joining CH2M HILL, she worked for several other firms and operated her own consulting practice. From 1992 to 1996, she was Deputy Director of the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority and previously was a Project Manager for the Boston Water and Sewer Commission.
Education
Ms. Speranza holds a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School, and a B.A. in Political Science from Boston College.

Ms. Speranza is Board Chair of the global nonprofit Water For People, which helps people in developing countries obtain clean water and sanitation solutions. She has served as an officer of the American Water Works Association and the Massachusetts Water Works Association, and is a long-standing member of the Water Environment Federation. Her work has been extensively published and presented, and in 2007 she received the AWWA's Outstanding Service and Honorary Member awards.
