CH2M HILL is pleased to announce that Dr. Julian Sandino has been named Senior Fellow Wastewater Treatment Technologist, the highest technology rating by CH2M HILL.

Dr. Sandino is an expert in the evaluation and process design of wastewater treatment facilities including both liquid and solids treatment trains, as well as in the definition of biosolids management reuse/disposal solutions. He is also an expert in the area of management of wet-weather flows in treatment facilities. He has led and assisted in several applied research projects related to optimizing wastewater treatment in terms of performance and energy requirements. His projects have included the definition of appropriate wastewater management solutions in locations with a wide range of different technical, economical, environmental and social requirements such as New York, Rio de Janeiro, Cairo, Los Angeles, Sao Paolo, Boston, Bogota, San Diego, Mexico City, Miami, Santiago, Chicago and Buenos Aires. He also serves as an advisor and special consultant to the World Bank in the areas of Water and Sanitation and has been involved at the highest levels in committee and governance activities at the Water Environment Federation, the premier wastewater professional organization in North America. In 2010, he was part of the first group of 40 water professionals from around the world to be designated as Fellows in the International Water Association.
